September 2025, NovaAir, the overseas brand of Yingde Gases, proudly announces that its Alliance Steel air separation plant in Malaysia has successfully obtained three prestigious certifications: ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, and Halal Certification.
It not only reinforces our commitment to quality, sustainability, and customer trust, but also affirm that NovaAir’s operations and service capabilities meet rigorous international standards, ensuring the supply of high-quality industrial gases to customers across Malaysia and neighboring regions.
NovaAir’s newly certified facility will strengthen its ability to support industries such as electronics, food & beverages and healthcare, while aligning with Malaysia’s growing demand for reliable and sustainable gas solutions.
NovaAir signed a landmark gas supply agreement in 2023 with Alliance Steel (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (hereinafter referred to as “Alliance Steel (Malaysia)”) to supply industrial gases for their steel production. With 3 × 20,000 Nm³/h air separation units operating on-site, NovaAir now supplies high-purity oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and other bulk gases not only to Alliance Steel (Malaysia) but also to a growing base of merchant customers in the region. This project represents the largest on-site air separation gas plant executed by Yingde Gases in its overseas operations to date.
Strategically located within the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park (MCKIP) — China’s first national-level industrial park in Malaysia and a flagship project under the Belt and Road Initiative — the plant plays a vital role in supporting one of Southeast Asia’s most competitive and advanced steel manufacturing facilities.
Looking ahead, NovaAir aims to further integrate Malaysia’s industrial gas market, expand its product portfolio, and support the region’s growing demand for gases in semiconductors, food processing, and lithium-ion battery manufacturing. The company is also committed to investing in green energy solutions, including the development and application of green hydrogen, ensuring a sustainable and reliable supply of gases for industries across MCKIP and neighboring regions.
